Staircase Founded in 1947 as a small general engineering operation by the grandfather of the present owner, James Engineering Constructions (Alfreton) Ltd. has developed over the succeeding years into a Quality Assured steel fabrication company with a diversified design, manufacturing and installation capacity.

The design and production capability includes products demanding site specific design skills and utilises a workforce with the traditional standards of a permanent and established works production team.

The company maintains an experienced team of around 50 employees.

These comprise a team of proven capable senior staff team including designers, project managers, manufacturing supervisors and operations administrators all supplemented by a dedicated and flexible factory & site workforce.

The operating philosophy of the company is directed towards achieving customer satisfaction secured by competitively priced work, committed project scheduling, Quality Assured (ISO 9001:2000) design, manufacturing and installation operations.
